Marco (they/them) is a BAFTA-nominated film director and writer based in London.

Their short form work includes, SAINTMAKING (The Guardian), THE BOWER (BFI), POMPEII (Film4, 2019: BFI London Film Festival, BIFA longlisted, London Critics’ Circle nominee); TONI_WITH_AN_I (BBC/BFI, 2019: 70th Berlinale, BAFTA nominated for Best Short Form Programme); FOUR QUARTETS (2018, BFI London Film Festival, 69th Berlinale - Crystal Bear Jury Special Mention and Teddy Award nominee, distributed by Peccadillo Pictures). 
 
Marco directed the first episode of hit BBC/Hulu/A24 comedy, SUCH BRAVE GIRLS, written by Kat Sadler. They were named one of Vimeo's Best New Creators of 2021 and a Film London Lodestar for 2022. In 2023 they served on the International Jury for the Berlinale Film Festival Generation Strand. 

 

They are developing their first feature with Film4.
