Marco is a BAFTA-nominated film director and writer based in London.


POMPEII, written and directed in collaboration with Harry Lighton and Matthew Jacobs Morgan, was commissioned by Film4. After playing at the BFI London Film Festival in 2019 it was long-listed for a BIFA, and nominated for the London Critics’ Circle Best Short Film Award.


In 2019 he directed TONI_WITH_AN_I, written with Mary Antony. It was produced by the BFI and BBC for broadcast on BBC 4, and competed at the 70th Berlinale in February 2020. It received a nomination for Best Short Form Programme at the 2020 BAFTAs.


His first short, FOUR QUARTETS, premiered at the London Film Festival in 2018 before playing at the 2019 Berlinale where it received the Youth Jury Generation 14plus Special Mention and was nominated for a Teddy Award. It has been distributed by Peccadillo Pictures.


Marco is currently working on his next short, THE BOWER, alongside development of his first feature film and a TV series.
